Hi, I've caused a bit of a problem on a 2008 Subaru Outback 2.5 non turbo and am looking for some advice on how to tackle it. While threading in a new oil pressure sensor on the left head, a piece of the thread collar broke off
. Is there any way to fix this without replacing the entire head and gasket?
Usually in this case the Cylinder Head is Cracked and not repairable. The Solenoid should only be screwed in a few turns and sealed with PTF pipe sealer.
